The Challenge

Vodafone Albania is part of one of the largest telecommunications groups worldwide. With an increasing number of customers and respective supportive sites, spread all over Albania, Vodafone needed an improved solution that would help them supervise this network of sites, localize the fault sites, rescue millions of data and repair the possible problems on time.

The 24/7 need for surveillance indicated by the non-stop hours of operation and its direct relation to cost-efficiency, combined with data accuracy were the challenges raised by this project. The information, needed to be ad-hoc and user-friendly, exploitable by all levels of management.

The Solution

Konsort designed, developed, and implemented SiteInfo application as the best solution in order to cover the customer needs on Data Collection, Fault Management, Site Management, Network Performance KPIs Reporting and Analysis.

In the center of this system is the Web Service, the .Net Platform and SQL Server Data Management System. Our well-defined methodology combined with the creative, intensive, professional, hard-work of our team enabled the making from scratch of such a system.

The solution offered complete geographical coverage and availability. The accuracy of fault’s localization combined with specification on the nature of the problem increased efficiency. The solution predicted sustainability and continuity. Accomplished in six months, it was accompanied with the training of Vodafone Network Engineers and with the release of a second version following the embrace of a new technology by Vodafone, 3G.

The Result

SiteInfo System was successfully implemented by Konsort since 2009. Vodafone Albania now possesses a more structured, accurate information regarding their Site maintenance. They receive ad-hoc information, upgraded fault and site administration functionalities and detailed, improved reports for analysis.
